Healing as a Research Journey – Yoga as personalized medicine

I'm currently facing several physical challenges: perioral dermatitis, chronically tense fascia. My left foot especially hurts, and my heel causes me constant worry. I also feel pain in my left shoulder and chest during sports.
These are the consequences of an unprovoked cycling accident. The impact ended in a headfirst dive, which I caught with my hands and my left shoulder.
I see this situation as an opportunity. I use the suffering to learn and understand my body better. My questions are clear: How can I adjust my diet? Am I experiencing too much unhealthy stress? How do I move – am I running in a way that feels good? Do I practice too much sport? Am I stretching enough?
I have already overcome similar difficulties: digestive problems, chronic back pain, or knee pain. I managed it through mindful adjustments, targeted strengthening, and yoga exercises.
Yoga is my most important companion. I mostly practice alone, away from the rigid framework of a regular yoga class. I dive deep within myself and feel exactly: What do I need? What does my body need for healing?
The challenges change but one thing remains: I learn more about myself, my body, and my inner balance every day.
